I had an opportunity to watch this one recently, and imo this isn't one of Hitchcock's best; the characters are not developed, including the protagonist, the plot is simplistic. The scene of a political meeting was funny, and some dialogue also, but overall - rather bleak and forgettable.Rushmore is a pocket classic, otoh.
