I once tried to read one of these Robert Ludlum books and it was horrible. But the film makers have thrown out everything but the concept and come up with very enjoyable summer movies. The first one was virtually plotless, just Jason Bourne being chased and chasing back, for obscure reasons. This one has a slightly meatier plot, but really it matters little. This is a chase movie, trained killer verging on superhuman against many police and spy agencies. Never a dull moment. I did think the Moscow car chase went on a little too long and it was impossible to even know what was happening. But the rest of it was cool. If there have to be mindless action movies, may they be like this.
