Come and See is the best depiction of the Eastern Front in a film I have yet seen, while not specifically Stalingrad its a Russian production
This is NOT a film for the faint of heart, be warned(!)
and Peckinpahs Cross Of Iron; Sam was in the process of making a film about Stalingrad when he died which, had it been made, could well have been his magnum opus, Cross of Iron is more an antiwar film
I have been trying (unsuccessfully!) to get this one for a while, Mein Kreig, (My War) which is vintage footage taken on the Eastern Front by German soldiers and narrated by the same individuals some 50 years later
