Doesn't mean anything. Just because a gadget or pc is used in movies, they're not necessarily using them at home.If you watch scifi movies, you'll often see the venerable Radio Shack SPL meter being used as a prop. Saw it just the other night in Stargate 1. Apparently, in addition to setting up speakers, it can also be used to detect cosmic rays.
