Mann turned up the tempo considerably from "Heat" to make this film genuinely compelling. No lags, no gags, just straight story and action. Jamie Foxx is turning into a suprising true talent. Impressive. Jada Plinket was terrific (especially the cab scene). And, for the first time ever, I accepted Tom Cruise in an adult role as an adult. I believed him. Maybe he should be psychopathic assassins here on out. (Maybe he's finally ready for Mimi.)
Found the dance club sequence intense and disheartening. Good stuff. Dom guzzlers should disguise themselves and slip on down to the bargain matinee.
