What a crappy ending. Can't anyone in Hollywood write a decent script anymore? Plot inconsistencies, lack of character development, reliance on special effects, no depth, lame jokes, etc, etc. OK, OK, it wasn't as bad as Independence Day.I, Robot *could've* been a great movie, but the makers chose to dumb it down and follow the path of predictability. And that ending really did suck, badly. For those who haven't seem it, it's as cringe-makingly bad as the ending to Independence Day.
I haven't seem a decent sci-fi movie since the remake of Solaris (which was good but not great).
End of rant. Doug
