The problem with George is that he can't put his ego aside and let other people frame the story. "Empire" was the best film of the 5 because he let more skilled writers handle the plot.Lucas is an very innovative guy, but he has major control issues.
The trailer did look cool (liked the inclusion of X-Wing/TIE fighters) but one could say the same for the Episodes I and II (total pieces of crap).
If the film is geared more towards adults (darker story told without cheezy one-liners between the main characters), incorporates "older" characters such as Chewbacca, C3PO, R2D2 in a context that explains future developments, and doesn't cheat when Obi-Wan and Anakin fight to the finish...it will be a classic fantasy tale to end the saga.
