Depp is a very good actor, but I too find him to be more than a little put-out..... Even though Depp does not seem to be nearly as pissed off as he used to be, I do recall reading some shit that he said about the US last year. Not very endearing if you ask me.I don't think he's had plastic surgery, but then again since pretty much everyone in Hollywood has, it gets harder and harder to tell! I do know that Depp smokes like a fiend, and (used to?) drink very hard also. Those 2 habits seem to catch up with most guys around the age of 40 and they start to look real old real fast. I think in a couple of years it will be quite evident if Johnny has been going under the knife.
Lastly - I wish he would get some better roles. Its great that he hasn't resorted to big bidget action movies, but a lot of his movies don't really interest me that much - which is unfortunate (for me) as I do think he's one of the best actors in his age bracket...
