RC,

Intersting topic- you're correct how deceptive age can be- and Depp is an excellent example. Mathew Broderick (42) and Micheal J. Fox (43) have that perennial youthful look too- perhaps being smaller helps. And Tom Cruise (42) still looked like a gawky teenage nerd when he was 41. Now he's trying out a more mature George Clooney effect. A friend saw him in his Jaguar conv the other day and said he looked a bit odd with closely cropped spiky hair.

It's a pity that Fox is suffering so from Parkinsons as he simultaneously still looks under 30. I saw him testifying at hearings concerning stem cell research and it is painful to see him in decline.

Living in Los Angeles, I meet or see people in the Biz. A couple of years ago I saw Raquel Welch at the L.A. Music Center and for being born 5 September, 1940 - 64!- looked wonderful- and condident and friendly. As for many encounters of this kind, I was surprised how very petite she is- perhaps 5'4".

Yes, Cher. She does seem to know the best body and fender shops. I pass her house often and would enjoy seeing her in person to see how well the special effects hold up while close. Legend has it she had her two lowest ribs removed to reduce overall diameter!

Cheers,

Bambi B
