Yes indeed. One could also make a strong case for Sterling Hayden and Keenan Wynn, who both gave absolutely brilliant performances.I might also talk about Peter Sellers, who was completely stunning but who most impressed me with his low-key Stevenson-like take on the president.
(I guess I'm giving away my age but I remember Adlai Stevenson and I think Sellers nailed his character and his look.)
