As the dynamic duo of the grey poupon set, they leave the indelible impression of sipping wine on the Riviera and sunbathing on a beach in the South of France with a gathering crowd, only to be politely informed by a local gendarme that it is no longer a nude beach! Patrick, Big Vic's amiable side-kick, in his own inimitable fashion says to the uniformed officer: "I only came here for the waters" and the quick witted VK, known in some quarters as the Russian Bare, then adds "we must've been misinformed!" At which point the gendarme promptly arrests them both for making a scene and butchering yet another popular American film!
Not a pretty mental image perhaps, but a delightfully humorous concept nonetheless. Of course, if this classic scenario was ever filmed at all it has long since been lost like so many other unsung masterpieces, but pornography, being a less-is-more medium, is a field measured in inches or centimeters rather than footage. There is no moral to this story, thank goodness, but it does suggest that comedy can cover up most of the genre's shortcomings! :o)
