***I hope that's not why the press stopped the public from demanding his pink slip.I suspect one could explain it in cynical terms: that guy can't even hurt us, he is too lame for that, he just floats with the flow of good economy, so no worries on the pocketbook front. He does, however, possess great entertainment value. Which presidency had provided more raw fun and nasty gigles, and made the "serious" newspapers look more like the National Inquirer? That is why public wanted him to stay for another act - like most great comediants... like a court fool with bells. Heavens willing, perhaps the next month is going to be even funnier.
