I thought it was terribly over rated. Naiomi Watts was great, as always. Benecio was pretty good but Penn was awful. Sean seems to play the same character over and over. Generally I thought the characters were all under developed, and as a result I didn't give a shit about what happened to them. The premise of the movie was clever and I did not have any issue with the darkness of the themes. But the non-linear way that it was assembled felt more like a desperate move on the part of the director (to make up for a lack of solid content,) than an enhancement.
