The reviewer's first words are “Believe the hype†and continues strongly positive. This was actually the source of my initial interest, but I did not find any mention in the archives here. It's seems odd for this film to have such limited exposure considering this reviewer states “It is one, if not the greatest Japanese action film to ever be releasedâ€. Subjectively, who knows.
