Claude Chabrol's "L'Enfer" - stay away

It was the second time we stepped into this... movie. Unknowingly.

While some consider Chabrol the French Hitchcock, he really never raised to even close to that level. Sure, he tries in some of his movies, but things don't quite happen the way he wants them. Case in point L'Enfer. Yes, he seems to do all the right footwork, but there is no dance. Too predictable? Perhaps. But that little something that gives all Hitch films their undeniable charm is simply missing here, turning it all into just another banal story with a completely uncalled for and forced ending.

If you love Emmanuelle Béart then consider this one a date, as she looks quite well in this otherwise boring film... other that this... move on.

Absolutely deserves the kaka rating.
