There is a new breed of DVD movies that are sourced from very high definition transfers. The DVDs are of course not hi def themselves but the picture quality is outstanding. "Silence..." is one of the best yet. Jodie has never looked so beautiful, nor Hopkins so terrifying. Also remastered for 5.1 Dolby Digital sound. Mucho extras, including 20 minutes of deleted scenes.
