my LaserDisc, as stated, was 1988. The IMDB film release date was 1987. Not that the IMDB are perfect, they are not. But since I saw the film in Johannesburg in 1988, that would seem to make sense.The late release dates may have been correct for Germany, et al but I suspect they are actually all DVD release dates.
I never saw the film in the US, perhaps it played "art" houses.
