Schmeling (b.1905) fought Joe Louis in 2 famous bouts. He also paid the costs for the near destitute Louis' funeral. A good guy who battled the stigma of being made a celebrity of the Nazis. It's a stink that doesn't fade away. Wallace (b. 1927) was most notable to some as an actor who played Joe Louis in the eponymous film (1953), and also a real life heavyweight fighter (He was famous for defeating Rocky Marciano in the Golden Gloves tournament). Another Good Guy.
