I concur Rico - one my favs of 2004.As you alluded to (I think,) the film does a tremendous job of showing how confusing and scary it must be to arrive in a large foregin city w/o any knowledge of the language or culture. By the time Maria arrives in NYC, the audience is so comfortable seeing and comprehending the world through her eyes... NYC seems like a chaotic zoo!
