Re: "Red Planet

I thought it was rather silly, and played rather cheeky by Kilmer. I saw this on the heels of Armageddon, which I thought to lack any originality. So I thought that Red Planet played well by comparison. At least it had some originality in it's body.

I thought Kilmer was great in Tombstone, very good in The Doors, Wonderland, and The Missing. I have found his work to elevate the material, meaning that even in bad films, which he has certainly done, he is able to create a character. In better films, he is able to stand out from the other players. There were other good performances in Tombstone, The Doors, and Wonderland. But his is the performance that people remember.
