After a play of Somerset Maugham, it follows quite to the word the original novel, and that is good so, as it is wonderful.
And so is this film, plainly wonderful.
Annette Bening is wonderful, not that I normally do really like her, but here no escape, she is incredibly performing, maybe in her first roles she had it, but in between she did not deliver, but here oh boy, she does.
Jeremy Irons shines, wonderful too.
The director...Wonderful.
All being cynical, what a fun!
Get it.
