It never was, you know. Most of the classics (including "Wonka" according to Wilder) were happenstance. But now that the audience in first run theatres (Clark excepted) is the bubblegum set . . . well . . . it's all about money. Basically, it always was, though there used to be a few more adventurous tangents!
