This 2000 sci fi film concerns a young police officer (James Caviezel) in 1999 who is able to contact his fireman father (Dennis Quaid) in 1969. Although it gets confusing toward the end it has a very interesting premise: sunspots can cause a time warp allowing ham radio contact between the two eras. The men share an interest in the 1969 "Amazin' Mets", then in the playoffs after so many losing seasons. Quaid's wife survives her chain smoking husband and appears in both periods. A guilty pleasure but thought provoking and a lot of fun.
