Director Sidney Pollack has a small part here as Secret Service agent Sean Penn's boss. Penn and his female partner are investigating the allegations of a beautiful Africn born U.N. interpreter played by Nicole Kidman. One night she overhears what sounds like an assasination mplot against an Africn dignatary soon to make a speech at the U.N. This is a big deal for the Secrte Service as the U.S. would suffer enormously if a foreign representative were killed on out soil, especially if that dignatary is one we don't care for. Like Pollack's "Three Says of the Condor" this is a taut thriller, beautifully paced, and well acted. It kept me guessing until the end. Recommended.
