Every time I see this I am taken by how powerful a story this is. And the DVD brings out the gorgeousness of the cinematography. This may be the most effective use of the 2.35 x 1 Panavision widecreen ever. Director John Boorman is to be congrtatulated, as the actors and crew are. Harrowing but highly recommended.
