This is a charming incredibly slow moving German comdedy about a rotund man who retires from thre salt mines into a boring existence of routine. Then one night his life is changed forever: he hears on the radio a Zydeco tune and is fascinated. He picks out the tune on his accoridan and soon is playing what sounds to me like real Zydeco. His new music is rejected by his music club as "jungle music" but they eventually send him to a music festival in their sister town in Texas. He then buys a boat and starts exploring the Louisiana bayou contry, where he is showered with random acts of kindness by locals. The first half consists entirely of long static shots and in the second half these are intermingled with long tracking shots. I loved it as did the art cinama audience I saw it with.
