Michael Douglas, Gwyneth Paltrow, and Viggo Mortenson are super in this thriller about a rich currency trader who hires his wife's lover to kill her (the wife is even richer). Things go awry, however, and then the plot thickens. This is based roughly on the play and Hitchcock film "Dial M for Murder" but deviates as the story moves on. Douglas is particularly good in his Gordon Gecko type role here and there is a sub-plot involving a downturn in his business. Paltrow has never been sexier.
