Totally agree. This was released the same year as the very good Traffic, a film in which Douglas plays his usual professional, in control self (though his family is spinning out of control.) Here, he plays the opposite - a professor who has professional and personal problems, and alway appears unkempt. Boy, if those two characters could meet. Traffic garned the audience and awards that year. Too bad. Wonder Boys is a must see film. And is not Katie Holmes in the film as his alluring border?
