Sports magazine ad sales VP Dennis Quaid is demoted and replaced by a young man half his age (Topher Grace) when the magazine is bought by a large comglomerate. Quaid's daughter, Scarlett Johannsen, begins dating Grace, much to the chagrin of Quaid. The many plot twists and bittersweet ending, while enjoyable, do not show a realistic view of American corporate life at least as I exprerienced it. Malcolm MacDowell has an uncredited role as the conglomerate's honcho, the legendary Teddy K. At least there' no cop out happy ending.
