Home Films/DVD Asylum

Movies from comedy to drama to your favorite Hollyweird Star.

I have both Pabst's Pandora's Box (Eureka; PAL Region 2) & Diary of a Lost Girl (Kino; NTSC domestic) on DVD.

Excellent films, both. The documentary on Brooks "Looking for Lulu," included on Pandora's Box, is excellent as well. Note : Kino's release of Pabst's Diary of a Lost Girl pictured above.

Another great actress of the silent era, Maria Falconetti, who only made one film (The Passion of Joan of Arc, directed by Carl Thodor Dreyer); this is also worth purchase or rental (Criterion release, Region 1, NTSC). Link...

BTW, the number of silent films I own DVD is now approaching 70, and the TCM release of the Garbo silents next month will extend my collection to the point that I'll have to add more shelving! (8^o)

Cheers,
AuPh :o)
