About three months ago, Time/Warner Cable's International Channel changed to AZN, programming for Asian-Americans. They have shown films by Takeshi Kitano, Takashi Miike, Chen Kaige, and Jim Jarmusch ("Mystery Train"). Just last night they showed Kurosawa's "Rhapsody In August" and the remarkable documentary "a.k.a. Don Bonus." And on weekdays they are showing the acclaimed 54-part Korean dramatic series "Jewel of the Palace" about the life of Jang Geum, the first Royal woman physician. Quite a winning package, so ask your cable provider about it.
