Stopped by a friend's house last night and they were just about to watch this movie. I figured I'd hang out a while and give it go. Well, after struggling through the first 40 minutes I had to excuse myself. Anchorman was simply awful; not funny at all. And it wasn't that the jokes were too simple or too vulgar or whatever. They were just weak.
Did Will Ferrell write any of the script? I assume he must have written (at least) a bit of it. After seeing a bit of this movie its clear why it had such a short stint at the theaters.
