Jacques Demy's Lola has promise, but... does it deliver?

The sleepy film has certain charm, and some interesting observations, but watching Anouk Aimee in it is not a pleasant occupation.
Fortunately several other actors will let your eyes rest - Elina Labourdette comes to mind. And Marc Michel is cast well, in his role of aimless wonderer.
Overall - an easy recommendadion for an earlier work of the maker of Umbrellas of Cherbourg.
