Board,A serious question. Were any one ELSE in the arts/social sciences to produce an historical and/or political work, their credentials/background would be looked at and looked into. Not so with any old hack of a producer/director. His name will carry him . . at least until the truth of his film's content is looked at.
Look at movies of Roman times and how directors are 'interviewed' about the historical period they made a film about. It's like they're historians or scholars or something.Respect,
