The film has been digitally remastered and is spread across two DVDs for optimum quality. The sound track sounds a tad "sweeter" than the previous DVD and the picure color looks a tad richer. Extras include commentary by a film historian and Heston, a 2005 documentary explaining how the film has influenced contemporary film makers, a previously available "making of" documentary, the complete 1926 silent version, screen tests, on location photos, vintage news reels, trailers, and other stuff. I ma donating my old DVD to the local library.
