Threshold may not have the Everglades, but it won't leave you "swamped" by a thinly veiled Invasion of the Body Snatchers rip-off. :o)

Both my wife and I liked American Gothic (Shaun Cassidy's earlier series) and was quite disappointed when it was cancelled after just one season, but Invasion is a different animal. For one thing, it's too manipulative, with stereotypical characters. For another, it's cheesy openning hurricane effects were some of the worst I've seen on series televion in the past 20 years (very disappointing FX; so much so that after we picked our jaws up off the floor we were rolling on it)!

BTW, the first episode even came across as misogynistic, but I'd rather not go into the various reasons why it left us with that impression. Let's just say that one episode was all we could stomach of those characters and leave it at that.
