This one got better as it progressed and was holding my interest at the end. Sports betting advisor Al Pacino hires Mathew Mconaghy because of the latter's uncanny ability to predict game outcomes and point spreads. Rene Russo plays Pacino's wife. Both she and Pacino are recovering gamblaholics. I wouldn't be as generous as Ebert in giving the film 3 1/2 stars but it is a pleasant way to spend two hours.
