I can get anything from overseas in the greater NYC-area in a few specialty shops.
I do agree with your point though.
BTW - found a small but rather decent mom-pop place in Tenafly, NJ (a block from my daughter's Yeshiva) that carries only Korean/Japanese films, and my local Indian grocery store in Teaneck has all of the newest titles from India on DVD.
Amazon is also really good.
