A young Tom Hanks is a budding ad executive in Chicago in this comedy directed by Gary Marshall. His parents, Jackie Gleason and Eva Marie Saint, have just split and as Hanks is the only child they each bombard him with complaints about the other and requests for assistance. There are many funny lines and a redemptive epiphany at the end. A long time favorite.
