You have to force yourself through the first 30-40 minutes of it, as it has that unpleasant "made-for-TV" flavor. However, if you manage to stay with it, you might be rewarded as suddenly thick suspense starts developing, and even though enough clues are given (again, in more of that made-for-TV fashion), you will eventually be treated with an ending that leaves enough loose ends hanging and sufficient food for thoughts to make it memorable. Not a great film, but still above the typical American fare. Both Tom Wilkinson and Sissy Spacek do very good jobs, although the director and the script force Sissy to overdo dome scenes.
