Definitely ripped off Spike Jonze/Charlie Kaufman in having a movie start with a kind of depressed Nicolas Cage doing an internal monologue (Adaptation) and by having him hit with a flying drink (Being John Malkovich).Otherwise I liked it and I liked that even when he accepts himself we're not being told to feel good about that acceptance or about who/what he is. Very similar to Lord Of War in that they never try to make him very likeable (though in the case of The Weather Man it's not too hard to have some empathy/sympathy).
