How would you judge Last Days by Gus Van Sant?

Movies from comedy to drama to your favorite Hollyweird Star.

It has to be the record holder for the smallest amount of dialog, but the sound track is very full and well recorded. I found most of it to be a very powerful film but admit a curiosity why Curt Cobain and others take this path.
