My wife and I both disliked Narnia, me much more intensely than she, but my wife is the author of a successful fantasy series of her own so she's a bit more forgiving of film adaptations. OTOH, she wasn't much of a fan of C.S. Lewis's writing before and the film only reinforced her opinion. She prefers JK Rowling for young adult fantasy and from the standpoint of Lewis's own peers, she and I both agree that Tolkein's fantasy is much richer.>>> "Never fidgeted once in my seat." <<<
I didn't fidget, but I should have, and then requested my money back.
Sorry that you didn't like Kong as much. It's a real shame, because I found PJ's King Kong quite enjoyable; we liked it enough to go back for a second helping.
