Nikita Mikhalkov has only made one good film so far: "An Unfinished Piece for Player Piano". Sadly, his career parallels that of Polanski's: excellent debut followed by crappy work. Polanski too started with a masterpiece - "Knife in the Water" - but the following films were mediocre at best.N
