I suppose most die hard Billie Holiday fans will know this but, for those who don't, Billie Holiday shared billing with Louis Armstrong in the 1946 film "New Orleans". B&W 1-1/2 hours. This film has some great sounding jazz from the era. Billie's performance in the film, both musical and theatrical, is top notch. (in my amateurish estimation) Louis Armstrong and his band are in fine form laying down some truly delicious bluesy jazz tracks.
I found this film off TCM (Turner Classic Movies) a few weeks back. Thinking ahead, I recorded it to the DVR.
If you like these players, you gotta see this one.
