The former are certainly in it and might or might not like it, the latter will certainly not like it, but might or might not be in it.
As most of the comedians are American, their appeal fades as they are not well known (at least to me) abroad.
They are funny or not funny and there is a good comment that the joke is a reflection of the teller.
Eddie Izzard doesn't tell the joke.
