Although the casting, acting, direction, music, and story line are superb in this Oliver Stone outing, the editing is simply the finest of any film I have ever seen. Catch the longer director's cut on DVD if you can. Joan Allen won the Best Actress Academy Award for her portrayal of Pat Nixon. Anthony Hopkins does not attempt a Rich Litle type impersonation of Nixon but is so convincing that when at the end of the film the real Nixon is shown you almost don't realize the switch.
