This 1944 police procedural stars Gene Tierney, Dana Andrews, Clifton Webb, and Vincent Price. It is based on a best selling novel from the early war time years. It is well written and was produced and directed by Otto Premeinger. The title song is featured throughout. There are a couple of very surprising plot twists. Recommended.
