That doesn't take away from the fact that as a whole, Mainland China's and HK's output, as well as Japan's has been somewhat spotty lately (IMO). Yea, they still put out some good movies, but I've noticed in the last year or so that I've been gravitating towards Korean productions. The production values are quite good, and the story lines, while not always original, can be done very well. They also seem to share an *intensity* that I find unique.
Maybe its just me.
