part "On the Waterfront." Two very good films to sample but, unfortunately, in a losing cause. This is a very early Wong film and it shows, though one remembers Scorscese's Mean S came early in his career and is masterful.
Worth seeing, of course, but do not expect much more than a good B crime film. Flashes of brilliance are there for the discriminating eye.
